Organic Week NZ Awards

Congratulations to the 2018 winners!

Since it’s conception in 2009, Little Bird Organics has always placed a huge importance on choosing organic whenever there is a choice to be made. For founder of Little Bird Organics Megan May, growing up on an organic farm in the 80’s in a family which helped pioneer the organic movement in NZ meant organics was always going to play a huge role in her life, and be a paramount part of her business. She has always believed food should be mostly raw, organic, full of goodness and always delicious, applying this approach to her two award-winning The Unbakery Cafes, and across the entire Little Bird Organics retail range.

Free Range Organic Deodorant is an everyday essential. Certified organic and super effective, these deodorants are scientifically designed to maximise the power of nature to provide natural confidence in a jar. They are certified cruelty free by Cruelty Free International and designed to meet the needs of all New Zealanders. Free Range Organic Deodorant is truly natural, really works and is a New Zealand made product to be proud of.

At the award-winning The Unbakery Cafes, everything is made from scratch. From cracking open fresh organic coconuts to make their coconut yoghurt, to fermenting their own sauerkraut and kimchi, and of course sprouting and activating every single seed, nut and grain used to increase digestibility and the assimilation of nutrients. None of this stuff is easy, or cheap, but Little Bird Organics is never willing to compromise on quality or taste, and always goes the extra mile to demonstrate how fresh, healthy and delicious gluten-free, dairy-free, refined cane sugar-free plant-based food can be.

Wairarapa Eco Farm CSA is a family run farm that really cares about the environment and helping families to eat organically. I love knowing that the food that I get in my box each week comes directly from their farm (very low food miles). The food is excellent quality. WEFS send out weekly emails with information about the vegetables and fruit we are receiving, some recipe ideas and information about other organic and environmentally friendly events or topics. I feel very connected to the farm, and tell the children the vegetables come from "our farm". WEFS offers us the chance to visit the farm to connect with where our food comes from. It is an amazing family venture, and they are truly helping the environment and families to be healthier.
