Waygood Foundation | Garden Walk
10 am - 12:30 pm, Saturday 4th Sept
Join us on a morning walk around the gardens, where we share our knowledge about edible plants and weeds. Followed by an interactive hot compost making and seed sowing workshop.

Open Day 10 am - 4 pm
Come along for an insight into organic gardening, eco housing, off grid living, revegetation projects and more. A special bush-craft programme available for primary aged children.
Zealong | Open Day
9 am - 4 pm
To celebrate Organic Week we are putting down our tools and sharing the estate with you through our public open day tour. For the first time ever, Zealong’s tea processing factory, farm, and venues are open for viewing. We will also have our expert team located at each location to share their stories and experiences.

As new managers this season we would love to meet you and welcome you to tour the property Feel free to bring the whole family, but please leave pets at home. Kiwi Hall | Film Viewing: One Man, One Cow, One Planet
7.30 pm - 9 pm
Free viewing of 'One Man, One Cow, One Planet' based around an inspirational New Zealand farmer, Peter Proctor. Peter shows us how organic and biodynamic farming practices build healthy soil and plants. At the age of 80, he and his wife move to India because Peter thinks this is a country where organic and biodynamic farming can really take over.
Lincoln University | Public Lecture and Farm Tour 1 pm - 3 pm
Come and listen to Dr Charles Merfield from the BHU Future Farming Centre talk about organic crop production, following this Jamie from @laughingpukeko will take a farm tour of her growing area and chickens on the BHU Farm.

To celebrate Organic Week, Trade Aid , Wellington Chocolate Factory and Commonsense invite you to take a short walk around central Wellington to find out more about certified organic, Fair Trade chocolate.

Rotorua Library | Organic Gardening Talk and Seed Sowing
12.30 pm - 2.30 pm
Join Simon Barbour from Grow Together Farm, Jenny Lux from Lux Organics and Janine Cotter from Brown Owl Organics for an informative slide-show about organic gardening in Rotorua District. Then, join in with some fun seed sowing outside the library on Jean Batten Square, and take home your own organic seedlings. Bring some empty plant pots or punnets.

Commonsense | Organic Farm Tour with Ruth Pretty Lunch

Join us for a tour of Common Property, our certified organic farm in Te Horo, followed by a delicious organic lunch hosted by Ruth Pretty.
Korito | Introduction to Permaculture
Two Day Course: 9 am - 5 pm Sat & Sun
Learn how to design your garden the permaculture way with minimal work to maintain. Learn how to build soil from household waste, and grow nutrient dense food without using chemicals.

Eco Farm Garden Tour | 25 year Celebration 1 pm - 3.30 pm
Frank and Josje are hosting you for an afternoon to see their well established organic community supported agriculture (CSA) farm. There will be vegetables and seedlings for sale and a special garden tour for the younger ones.
